Before 1990, Croatia was part of Yugoslavia. The official police was the “milicija” whose official vehicles were those produced in Zastava in Kragujevac. The Zastava 750, known as the Fico, was their smallest and probably most popular car among the working class and one of the official police vehicles at the time.
