The Old town of Sirac on the hill above the Village of Sirac was probably built by the Templars during the time of Pope Clement V. The town was built of natural crushed stone, and lime mortar was used as a binder. After the rule of the Turks in this area in 1763, the Village of Sirac was bought by the nobleman Antun Jankovic for 40,000 forints. Today, the Old Town is a tourist attraction, especially for lovers of the history of Western Slavonia. Nearby is The Bijela River, great for chub fishing in late spring and early summer.
