Cabbage without “chemistry”

Organic cabbage heads in a small vegetable garden will soon be ready for harvest. Part of it will be used for a fresh cabbage salad, and the rest will be prepared for pickling in a barrel according to an old recipe without any artificial additives. So in a few weeks there will be lots of sour cabbage heads ( it can be sliced as well ) which can be used for the cabbage rolls and other dishes during the winter period.
