Once upon a time, every household had this kind of bread oven, today there are only maybe a few in every Croatian village. Homemade bread, meat and vegetables baked in a wood-fired oven like this taste especially good. The bread oven in the photo is located in the yard of the Milanovic family in the Village of Disnik, on the slopes of Moslavacka gora. It doesn’t matter that this bread oven is older than fifty years, it is still usable and in good condition.
