Pike fishing in the Village of Tomasica

The old Ilova riverbed in the Village of Tomašica is home to big predators such as pikes who are waiting for prey under large leaves of water lilies. Of course, this is a very popular fishing destination. Around a few decades ago a group of local enthusiasts founded a local fishing society and still taking care of this beautiful destination. The biggest pike caught here was almost thirteen kilograms and more than a meter in length. The society promotes catch&release approach. The fishing is available three times a week – on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday plus national holidays.
