This ajvar cooking competition is held every year in Lipik, but also in other places in Croatia. Ajvar is actually a cooked mixture of finely chopped vegetables, mostly red peppers and eggplants with spices. It is an excellent side dish with meat, and originates from Northern Macedonia.
