Seasoned California trouts are ready to fry in hot oil. Croatians love them because they are not expensive (about five euros per kilogram of fresh trout) and can be bought in stores almost all year round. Moreover, in rural Croatia California trouts are cultivated in fishing farms together with brown trouts.
